As high as the Sky can go, Darren Skye can bring to the tables a night of journey soaring into the endless Sky. Born in Toronto, Ontario (October 14th, 1988) into a country holding some of the most prestigious artists in electronic music today, Darren gained interest and passion for music at a young age. From the age of 12 he started collecting music of all genres that interested him. He collected different types of music that existed from around the globe. This was until he stumbled upon a sound that never existed within his knowledge of music. At the age of 14, a good friend he met brought him to a party that he never knew existed. Darren was innocent and was a virgin to this environment. Pulsating beats created power; each sound was a shape, and imprinted itself onto his brain. The melodic groove of a musical phrase influenced emotion and created feelings that was satisfying; a picture of a never ending night with a satisfying musical journey. “So this is trance”, he said, and since then dance music became his passion and an enormous influence in his life today.

A night of endless party would be the ideal setting for Darren’s sound. Darren can grace the tables like no one else has, bringing to the decks a train of emotion. From captivating sounds to melodic melodies and pulsating beats, Darren can not only make your body dance into a night of energy and innovation, but also can make your hearts race to feel the emotions inscribed within the influential music. He brings people together on the dancefloor and his music caresses the audience with imagination.

Continuing from his early years, Darren treated his passion like it was something to live on, something to strive for. Darren then quickly started saving and used all his money to buy a pair of cheap turntables to learn mixing. He was not wealthy. He works to get where he wants to be, and to achieve what he wants to do. It wasn’t long, but he began to understand music and started creating mixes to send out to fellow friends for listening. From this early moment, he thought it was wise to fall back on something extra incase music wasn’t working out for him. He studied in a radio & broadcasting program in college. Soon thereafter it was not just a game anymore and he became involved with Energy105 in Toronto. He started his own radio show which was Symphonic Sound and it features alot of the top tracks and tunes in dance music today. He also works at CHUM FM which is part of Canada’s major market in radio.

Since a very young age Darren was always influenced by trance. He is inspired by many genres of music but trance is his ideal weapon. “Electronic music shouldn’t be labeled with genres; if it sounds good, it sounds good.” Music is music, and with this Darren is able to incorporate other different genres of electronic music into his sets. Darren is now learning production in hopes to get to where he wants to be. Electronic music has been a huge influence to Darren and it is his life. “It is not just hobby, it is not just a game, it is life itself.”
